I See London, I See France

So, the title is a little deceiving because I'm going to be focusing on France in this story, I just thought it was witty. On my second trip we visited three countires, France, England, and Spain. They were all beautiful but I was looking forward to France most because I had taken three years of French and high school and wanted to try and use it. One particular city I couldn't wait to see was Paris, typical right? Well, a couple of the girls in my troop had been to Paris before and were talking it down. They said it was dirty and smelled like pee, no joke. I was a little discouraged but I wasn't going to let them get into my head. After visiting London, we were headed to France and I was too excited to finally see Paris.
I remember in order to get to France from London we had to take the Chunnel. The famous underwater train between Paris and London. It was cool we were going to take it but, not going to lie, I was so exhausted from the trip and the walking that I slept the whole way. It was comfortable, and I remember my ears popping a couple times but that is all I can remember. Anyways, we arrived in France and we had to get our luggage. It was so exciting to finally step out into France! Immediately I started searching for the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't find it but we had a bus tour coming up so I was sure we'd see it before the end of the day, and I was not disappointed. We drove by it and it was so surreal to see in person. We only saw it for a small amount of time but we would return the next day.
I remember returning and could not wait to get a picture with it! There was so many tourists there which sucked for pictures, but it was still beautiful. What's the Frenchiest thing you can think of? I'm going to assume someone in a striped shirt, eating a crepe, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Well, there was a crepe cart right by the viewing area so of course I got myself a crepe and sat on the steps by the viewing area and morphed into a typical tourist. I just remember laughing to myself thinking about how cliche the situation was, but it was amazing all at the same time. That was my experience in France, the city was dirty but it didn't bother me. It reminded me of New York, but way cooler.
